    Most of the island's visitors arrive to Bornholm by ferry. You can get the ferry from several countries; Denmark, Sweden and Germany.

    Ferry to Bornholm from Ystad in Sweden

    The primary route - and the most popular - to Bornholm is by ferry to Rønne from Ystad in Sweden. From Ystad you can embark with Bornholmslinjen, as a foot passenger, by bike, or by car (with or without trailer), caravan, or motorcycle.  Fra Ystad kan du sejle med Bornholmslinjen, som også er kendt som Bornholmerfærgen fra gammel tid. Du kan komme med færgen som gående, cyklende eller kørende i bil (med og uden anhænger), autocamper eller på motorcykel. 

    Bornholmslinjen coordinates up to 16 daily departures during high season, and departures during off-season. This means that you can travel to Bornholm whenever it works for you.

    The crossing from Ystad to Rønne takes about 80 minutes with the catamaran. If stormy weather abounds on the Baltic Sea, a conventional ferry makes the trip instead. The crossing then taking about 2 ½ hours.

    Den primära resvägen - samt den maximalt populära - till Bornholm är tillsammans färjan mot Rönne ifrån Ystad inom Sverige. ifrån Ystad kunna du segla med Bornholmslinjen, förut känd som Bornholmerfärjan. Man kunna åka tillsammans med färjan vilket gående, tillsammans cykel alternativt bil (med eller utan släp), husbil eller motorcykel. 

    Turen från Ystad till Rönne tar ca. 80 minuter med snabbfärjan. Uppstår oväder på Östersjön utför ett konventionell båt turen istället och överfartstiden blir ca. 2 ½ timme.

    Biljettpriset för ett enkelresa vid Bornholmslinjen startar nära  DKK till gående samt DKK för bil inkl. upp till 5 personer.

    Take the ferry to Bornholm

    To Bornholm from Copenhagen via Ystad in Sweden

    Drive across the Øresund Bridge to Ystad and board one of the high speed ferries of Bornholmslinjen. Just 1 hour and 20 minutes later you will be exploring Bornholm. The crossing on the conventional ferries (ropax ferries) takes 2½ hours. During low season there are departures a day and during the peak season there are up to 10 daily departures with Bornholmslinjen. It only takes an hour to drive from Copenhagen to Ystad.

    NOTE: New route for check-in in Ystad by car

    Effective Wednesday, 25 January, the check-in for cars and other vehicles in Ystad will be at a new location.

    Instead of driving off Södra Dragongatan and turning right onto Ekenäsgatan, you must continue further down Södra Dragongatan and turn right at Bornholmsgatan.
