About the education

Experience Design is concerned with how people use, should use, or do not use products and services in the larger context of their lives, and the Master’s programme in Experience Design prepares you to design meaningful, ethical and sustainable experiences with interactive technologies. Experience designers take the broader context into account and design experiences that make sense and make what's complex clearer, without side-stepping any ethical, environmental, and sustainability questions.

The Master’s programme in Experience Design is uniquely focused on developing the critical thinking skills and the design skills so that you can successfully address the ambiguity and uncertainty of current industry and social challenges by means of a thoughtful and reflective design practice.

The Master‘s programme in Experience Design adopts three guiding principles to develop competence in design practice and in academic design research:

  Konst & hantverk

  Född och uppvuxen i Halmstad bor jag sedan länge på enstaka härlig konstnärsgård ute på landet. Efter många år som illustratör på reklambyrå, skippades datorn för för att kreera samt illustrera ”hands on”. detta jag brinner för för tillfället är färg deras olika känslouttryck samt inbördes samarbete. Skaparlusten tar sig 
  många olika uttryck samt motiven varierar musik, människor, djur, shamaninspirerade kraftdjur samt symboler, alternativt egna inre motiv. Många gånger samarbetar jag tillsammans med andra konstnärer eller musiker, med temaproducerade verk alternativt installationer inför olika utställningar. 
        Min röda tråd är metall nästan alla mina verk besitter någon små detalj från stål alternativt rostad järnfärg. Jag arbetar gärna stort i syntetisk plast eller färg och kol, men växlar efter känslan till olja, akvarell, stål eller föremål gjorda av lera och brända i en ugn möjligheterna är obegränsade. varenda idé äger sitt eget uttryck där inget är förbjudet samt där jag mixar olika material

This program has a unique link to industry and to Lund University. It is also closely linked to the Electronics Centre in Halmstad, an innovation arena in electronics development for researchers and companies in the region. There is a test chamber here for electromagnetic compatibility, for example, where companies can test their products for more efficient product development.

Courses and competencies in focus

The Master's programme in Electronics Design focuses on research and development in embedded systems and hardware for the Internet of Things of the future. You assimilate the theoretical and practical skills required to actively participate in the development of the future of embedded electronics and communications systems.

This means that the programme gives you real competence in semiconductor technology as well as component and circuit design. You specialise in the design and realisation of new electronic components and sensors, based on nanotechnology and wireless technology for the embedded electronics and communications systems of the future.
