Department of Computer Science, DIDA
The Department of Computer Science (DIDA) is one of three departments at the Faculty of Computing. It is the largest department at BTH.
Head of Department: Bo Peterson
Department coordinators: Ljubica Atanasova Stojanovski (director of studies), Svetlana Živanović and Anna Zieris.
At DIDA we are divided into four groups:
- (AIDA) Artificial Intelligence & Data Analytics lab (Martin Boldt)
- (SDS) Secure and Distributed Systems (Kurt Tutschku)
- (COSY) Computing and systems (Bo Peterson)
- (GAME) Games and Interactive Systems (Yan Hu)
You can find our department in building H and J at Campus Karlskrona.
All the research carried out at the department is applied, which is in line with BTH’s strategy. Research at DIDA is conducted in the following research areas:
- Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
- Cloud Computing and Distributed Systems
- Computer graphics and visualisation
- Cryptography and Computer Security
- Data Science
- Decision support Systems and Automation
- Digital game development
- Human-centered computing
- Performance Optimization and Parallel Computing

hort history
During my time as a Ph.D. student, I was a member of the CacheMire research group at the Department of Computer Engineering (now a part of the Department of Information Technology), Lund University (picture). The group was led by my supervisor Per Stenström, who is at Chalmers University of Technology now.
My Ph.D. thesis is available on the web. (Key words: shared-memory multiprocessors, cache coherence, performance evaluation, memory consistency models, latency tolerance) I successfully defended it on December 1, and professor Mark D. Hill from University of Wisconsin-Madison served as opponent.
When I came to Blekinge Institute of Technology, Prof. Lars Lundberg and I formed the PAARTS research group, Parallel Architectures and Applications for Real-Time Systems.
I worked as an assistant/associate professor of computer engineering ('Universitetslektor i datorteknik') January to April During January to June , I was Head of Department for the Department of Software Engineering and Computer Science.
In April , I became an Associate professor (sv. 'docent'), and since May I'm a Professor of computer engineering.
| Department of Computer Science • Civilingenjör i datorsäkerhetOm utbildningenCivilingenjörsutbildningen inom datorsäkerhet existerar fem tid lång, dock är uppdelad i numeriskt värde steg.
