Hammarbyhöjden is a city district in Stockholm, Sweden. The district is split across two boroughs: Most of it is located in Skarpnäck borough, the subdistrict Blåsut is located in the Enskede-Årsta-Vantör borough.[1] As of December 31, , Hammarbyhöjden had 8, inhabitants.[2]

History
[edit]Together with Traneberg, a district west of the historical city centre, Hammarbyhöjden was one of the centrally located, hilly terrains bought by the city of Stockholm in The terrain made it unsuitable for the kind of garden cities built during the s and s. Furthermore, by the early s the city authorities had realised the successful small-scale projects of the past could not solve the ramping shortage of dwellings the city was experiencing. In both these districts the ideals of Functionalist architecture &#; multi-family buildings in a natural scenery &#; were therefore implemented. Hammarbytornet
Hammarbytornet (officiellt Hammarby radiolänktorn) är ett länktorn för telekommunikation, beläget vid Kalmgatan 37A i stadsdelen Hammarbyhöjden i Söderort inom Stockholms kommun. Tornet ritades av Bengt Lindroos arkitektkontor och stod färdigt Byggnaden är grönmärkt i Stadsmuseets kulturhistoriska klassificering av Stockholms bebyggelse. Det innebär att byggnaden är särskilt värdefull från historisk, kulturhistorisk, miljömässig eller konstnärlig synpunkt. Till byggnaden hör även Hammarby riksstation, som ligger under mark och är delvis sekretessbelagd. Anläggningen ägs och drivs idag av Telia. Byggnaden är grönmärkt av Stadsmuseet i Stockholm som innebär "särskilt värdefull från historisk, kulturhistorisk, miljömässig eller konstnärlig synpunkt".[1]
Hammarby radiolänktorn
[redigera | redigera wikitext]Efter en arkitekttävling med åtta inbjudna arkitektkontor gick uppdraget att rita tornet till Bengt Lindroos arkitektkontor. Lindroos ritade det meter höga Kaknästornet och var därför väl insatt i uppgiften. Hammarbytornet uppfördes åren till på uppdrag av dåvarande Byggnadsstyrelsen för dåvarande Televerket. Hammarby Sjöstad

Hammarby Sjöstad fryst vatten a part of the inner city of huvudstaden, currently undergoing major urban redevelopment. It is located on both sides of lake Hammarby Sjö, bordering Nacka Municipality to the east. The area fryst vatten part of the districts Södermalm and Södra Hammarbyhamnen.
Before the current redevelopment began, the area was known as Norra Hammarbyhamnen and Södra Hammarbyhamnen, a mainly industrial zone centered on the Lumafabriken works, a del av helhet of functionalist architecture designed by Eskil Sundahl and Arthur von Schmalensee, which now houses a library, restaurants, and offices. The neighbouring Lugnet was a run-down light industrial area, not intended to be permanent, housing an impromptu trailer park.[citation needed] On the north side of the lake, the Norra Hammarbyhamnen area was used as a harbour area, with a railway connecting the area.
